1/2 dozen Whoppers (very, very large) colony hen eggs from Knowl End near Halifax, West Yorkshire. Due to their very large size there is an increased change of getting double yolkers.
Colony eggs are approved by the British Lion code. They come from hens that now have more space per bird, a private nesting box to lay eggs in, a scratching region and special perching areas. Both colony and free range hens live indoors, but only free range hens have daytime access to the outdoors.
